The Asia Pacific Aviation Training Summit (APATS) 2026 took off this morning in Bangkok, bringing together aviation training professionals, industry leaders, regulators and solution providers from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
Taking place from 31 August to 2 September 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, APATS 2026 is being held under the theme “Rethinking Airline Training”, focusing on the evolving challenges and opportunities shaping the future of aviation training.
Recognised as one of the region’s leading aviation training events, APATS brings together the wider training community, including airlines, Approved Training Organisations (ATOs), regulators, universities, training providers and technology companies.
The 2026 edition features dedicated conference streams covering Pilot Training, Cabin Crew Training, Maintenance Technician Training and Approved Training Organisations, alongside a new FSTDO Regulatory Conference introduced this year.
The event is addressing some of the most pressing issues facing aviation training organisations, including safety, recruitment and workforce development, regulatory changes, emerging technologies and the growing role of advanced simulation in aviation training.
With a combination of conferences, exhibitions and industry networking opportunities, APATS 2026 provides attendees with a platform to exchange knowledge, benchmark best practices, explore new training solutions and build partnerships across the fast-evolving Asia-Pacific aviation market.
The summit is attracting more than 700 attendees, with over 50 air operators, more than 50 exhibitors and representatives from over 40 countries expected to participate.
The exhibition is also providing an opportunity for aviation professionals to discover the latest technologies, products and services supporting pilot, cabin crew and maintenance training, while connecting with regional decision-makers and industry specialists.
The APATS 2026 programme began on 31 August, with the Heads of Training Workshop bringing together senior training leaders for focused discussions and knowledge sharing. The evening continued with the Welcome Icebreaker Reception, giving delegates and industry representatives an opportunity to connect and network ahead of the main conference programme.
With the main event now underway, the first full day of APATS 2026 features a packed programme of conference sessions, expert discussions, networking opportunities and exhibition activities, setting the stage for three days of conversations around the future of aviation training in the Asia-Pacific region.
