Swiss leisure airline Edelweiss Air is set to increase its seasonal Zurich-Colombo service to three flights per week for the Winter 2026/27 schedule, up from two weekly flights during the previous winter season.
The first flight of the new season is scheduled to depart Zurich on 26 October 2026, with services continuing through May 2027.
Flights from Zurich to Colombo will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday under flight number LX 8064, while return services from Colombo to Zurich, operating as LX 8065, will run every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The increased frequency is expected to further strengthen air connectivity between Switzerland and Sri Lanka, offering travellers greater flexibility and more options during the winter travel season.
More than 30,000 Swiss travellers visited Sri Lanka in 2025, underscoring the importance of the Swiss market to the country’s tourism industry. The Zurich connection also provides convenient onward travel opportunities to destinations across Europe and beyond through the wider Lufthansa Group network.
United Ventures serves as the General Sales Agent (GSA) for Edelweiss Air, a member of the Lufthansa Group, in Sri Lanka.
