The Sri Lanka Association of Airline Representatives (SLAAR) recently concluded a highly successful Airport Familiarization Programme, aimed at enhancing the operational knowledge of travel agents and member airline representatives.
The initiative drew over 160 participants across four batches, offering them firsthand exposure to various airport functions, including Check-in, Departure, Duty Free, Immigration, Baggage Arrival and Customs. The programme provided a unique behind-the-scenes look into how airport operations are managed seamlessly to ensure efficient passenger handling.
The Ground Handling Division of SriLankan Airlines, under the leadership of Mr. Deepal Pallegangoda, extended full support to the programme, ensuring its smooth execution.
This initiative, organized by the SLAAR Training Committee, stands as a testament to SLAAR’s continuous efforts to foster professional growth and collaboration within Sri Lanka’s aviation and travel community.
