Swiss leisure airline Edelweiss Air has increased its seasonal Zurich-Colombo service to three weekly flights for the Winter 2026/27 schedule, up from two weekly flights during the previous winter season.
The first flight of the new season is scheduled to depart Zurich on 26 October 2026, with services operating through May 2027.
Flights from Zurich to Colombo will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday as LX 8064, while return flights from Colombo to Zurich, LX 8065, will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The increased frequency is expected to further strengthen air connectivity between Switzerland and Sri Lanka and provide travellers with greater flexibility during the winter travel season.
More than 30,000 Swiss travellers visited Sri Lanka in 2025, highlighting the importance of the Swiss market for Sri Lanka’s tourism industry. Zurich also offers convenient onward connections to destinations across Europe and beyond through the wider Lufthansa Group network.
United Ventures serves as the General Sales Agent (GSA) for Edelweiss Air, part of the Lufthansa Group, in Sri Lanka.
