According to the Ethiopian News Agency, Ethiopian President Taye Atske Selassie has bid farewell to the outgoing Sri Lankan Ambassador to Ethiopia, Theshantha Kumarasiri, following the completion of his diplomatic tenure.
During the farewell meeting, Ambassador Kumarasiri highlighted that discussions are currently underway for Ethiopian Airlines to begin direct flights to Colombo. He noted that the proposed direct air link would play a key role in strengthening bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Ethiopia, while boosting trade, air cargo connectivity, tourism, and broader economic cooperation.
