FitsAir has announced the temporary suspension of its flights between Colombo and Dubai, citing the evolving global situation and its impact across the Middle East.
According to the airline, the suspension will remain in place as developments in the region are monitored. FitsAir currently expects to resume Colombo-Dubai services from 19 November 2026, subject to the prevailing situation.
The airline said it understands the inconvenience caused to passengers and expressed appreciation for their patience and understanding during the disruption.
FitsAir operates scheduled Colombo-Dubai services under flight numbers 8D821/ 8D822.
The latest announcement marks another disruption to Sri Lanka-Middle East air connectivity amid ongoing regional uncertainties. Earlier this year, FitsAir had also temporarily suspended Middle East services during regional airspace disruptions before becoming the first Sri Lankan carrier to resume scheduled Colombo-Dubai flights in March.
