A cat named Chuuti, previously featured by Aviation Voice, belonging to Sri Lankan passenger Avishka Kaumadi, has been found inside a baggage carousel tunnel at Dubai International Airport following a week-long search.
Chuuti went missing on October 11 while being transported on a SriLankan Airlines flight from Dubai to Colombo. The Dubai airport team confirmed the discovery after extensive search efforts marked by dedication, persistence and teamwork.
United teamwork made all the difference in bringing hope to Chuuti’s safe return. Numerous social media channels and members of the public helped spread the message throughout the community, raising awareness and supporting the search efforts.
Avishka has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to SriLankan Airlines, dnata and Dubai International Airport, as well as everyone who shared her appeals, offered assistance, prayed for Chuuti’s safe return and provided emotional support throughout this difficult time.
Although Chuuti has been found, Avishka is still awaiting his safe return to Sri Lanka, hoping for the moment she can finally hold her beloved companion in her arms again.
As Aviation Voice, we are truly happy that we could support Avishka in our own small way by spreading the message within the aviation community and helping bring greater attention to the search for Chuuti.
We extend our sincere thanks to our friends working at Dubai International Airport who kept us updated throughout the search, as well as everyone who shared the message, offered support and contributed to this collective effort.
This heartwarming outcome is a wonderful reminder that united teamwork, compassion and the power of a caring community can make all the difference.
