Organized by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Air and Naval Search and Rescue Coordination Centre and the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre, the workshop brings together key stakeholders from across the aviation and emergency response sectors.

A total of 70 representatives from 21 government and private sector institutions including the Sri Lanka Police, Air Force, Navy, Army, Disaster Management Centre, Airports and Aviation Services Company Limited, Department of Meteorology, Department of Immigration and Emigration, Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Ministry of Fisheries, Ministry of Health, SriLankan Airlines, Fitz Air, and Cinnamon Air are participating in the exercise.

The exercise, conducted for the first time in Sri Lanka, follows the guidelines and recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and aims to strengthen the nation’s aviation safety framework, enhancing Sri Lanka’s position as a safe and reliable aviation hub on the global stage.
