Air India will introduce a third daily flight between Colombo and Delhi from 25 October 2026, as part of its Winter 2026/ 27 schedule.
With the new service, Air India will operate four daily flights from Colombo, three to Delhi and one to Mumbai strengthening air connectivity between Sri Lanka and India.
The increased capacity comes amid continued growth in the India-Sri Lanka travel market. India remained Sri Lanka’s largest tourism source market, recording 385,483 arrivals between January and August 2026, accounting for around 25% of total arrivals during the period, according to Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority data.
The additional Delhi frequency will also provide Sri Lankan travellers with greater access to Air India’s wider domestic and international network through its Indian hubs.
