The Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka (TAASL), in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines in Sri Lanka, successfully conducted a Philippine Visa Training Session on 28 April 2026 at the Ground Floor Auditorium of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
The session was open free of charge to all TAASL members and aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of Philippine visa procedures among Sri Lanka’s travel trade.
The head table featured TAASL representatives including Riza Ahamat (Executive Council Member), Sabry Bahudeen (Deputy Head – Diplomatic Affairs), Dishal De Silva (Junior Vice President) and Chamila Wijethunga (Senior Vice President).
The Consulate was represented by Hon. Hugh Sriyal Dissanayake, Consul General ad honorem of the Philippines in Sri Lanka, along with consulate staff members Mr. Seresh, Mr. Joh and Ms. Binidi.
The session provided valuable insights into visa application processes, requirements and best practices, strengthening collaboration between the Philippine Consulate and Sri Lanka’s travel industry stakeholders.
