On 30th March 2025, Lao Airlines (QV) received its first COMAC C909 aircraft from China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC), marking a milestone as the first Chinese-built passenger jet to enter the Lao market.
The 90-seat economy class aircraft features a unique livery adorned with Lao national flowers and balloons on the tail, as well as Lao-language identification signs inside and out. The aircraft, delivered under a lease agreement, will begin commercial operations once QV completes its operational preparations.
