IndiGo (6E) has become the first Indian airline to induct the Airbus A321XLR into service, marking a milestone in its international expansion strategy.
The A321XLR gives IndiGo the range to operate up to 8,700 km, opening long-haul opportunities previously out of reach for a single-aisle aircraft. IndiGo plans to deploy further aircraft on routes such as Istanbul and Denpasar (Bali) before expanding deeper into Europe and East Asia.
