India-Sri Lanka Air Connectivity Reaches New High with 180 Weekly Flights

Speaking at the 77th Republic Day reception in Colombo, Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha highlighted the strong growth in aviation ties between India and Sri Lanka. He noted that around 180 weekly flights now operate between the two countries, strengthening people-to-people and business connectivity.

He also recalled that Trichy was added as the second Indian destination, after Chennai, to offer direct flight connectivity to Jaffna, further enhancing regional access and bilateral cooperation in the aviation sector.
