Ceylon Aeronautical Services (CAS), Sri Lanka’s leading privately owned Aircraft maintenance organisation, has officially entered the field of Garmin avionics upgrades, marking another major milestone in the country’s aviation industry.
As an authorised Garmin dealer in Sri Lanka, CAS has established a state-of-the-art avionics workshop equipped to carry out advanced avionics upgrade programmes for both local and foreign-registered aircraft. The new facility strengthens Sri Lanka’s position as an emerging regional hub for aviation maintenance and technology.
CAS is collaborating with a Canadian aviation company to develop technical knowledge, advanced avionics skills, and internationally recognized training programmes for Sri Lankan aviation professionals. This partnership is expected to enhance local expertise in modern aircraft avionics systems and create new career opportunities within the aviation sector.
The company said the expansion into avionics modernisation will generate skilled employment in the avionics industry while also contributing valuable foreign revenue to Sri Lanka through services provided to international aircraft operators.
“CAS is committed to bringing world-class aviation technology and capabilities to Sri Lanka. Our partnership with Garmin and international industry experts will help build a strong foundation for the future of avionics services in the region,” the company said.
CAS is also working closely with Garmin on future development initiatives, with plans to further expand its avionics capabilities and support growing demand for modern aircraft upgrades across South Asia and the Indian Ocean region.
With this latest development, Ceylon Aeronautical Services continues to strengthen its reputation as a key player in aircraft maintenance, structural repair and aviation engineering services in the region.
