The Board of Airline Representatives (BAR) hosted a farewell ceremony to honor the outgoing Country Managers of Qatar Airways and Cathay Pacific, Mr. Jonathan Fernando and Mr. Harish Kiran, for their notable contributions to Sri Lanka’s aviation sector.
BAR Chairman, Mr. Dimuthu Tennakoon, praised their dedication and leadership, particularly in guiding their airlines through challenging times. “Their impact on the Board and their commitment to strengthening Sri Lanka’s aviation industry has been exceptional,” he said.
During their tenures, both Mr. Fernando and Mr. Kiran played key roles in maintaining the presence and service of Qatar Airways and Cathay Pacific in the Sri Lankan market, even amidst adversity. The farewell highlighted their achievements and the positive influence they had on the industry.
The BAR community expressed its appreciation and extended best wishes to both managers as they move forward into new opportunities.
