Belarusian flag carrier Belavia Airlines commenced its Winter 2026/27 seasonal flight operations to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) on 27 October 2026, with the arrival of its inaugural flight carrying 269 passengers.
The resumption of services marks the return of the Belarusian airline to Mattala for the winter season, strengthening air connectivity between Belarus and Sri Lanka.
Belavia Airlines is scheduled to operate the service once a week throughout the winter season, providing additional air access for travellers from Belarus and supporting Sri Lanka’s tourism industry.
