Russia’s Azur Air is planning to commence seasonal flights from Moscow to Sri Lanka in November 2025. For the first time, the airline is considering flying to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, having previously operated flights to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA). The exact flight dates will be announced later.

AZUR air has clarified that it has no plans to operate flights to Sri Lanka during the upcoming winter season, contrary to earlier reports. The airline has officially confirmed that services to Sri Lanka are not scheduled.
