Russian airline S7 Airlines is set to launch a new international route connecting Novosibirsk in Siberia with Colombo, with services scheduled to begin on 20 December 2026.
The new service will provide a direct air link between Siberia and Sri Lanka, offering Russian travelers easier access to Colombo and popular destinations across the island, including Hikkaduwa, Bentota and Trincomalee.
Flights are scheduled to operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. According to the airline, the service will include a technical refueling stop in Jaipur, India with passengers remaining on board during the stop.
The aircraft is scheduled to depart Novosibirsk’s Tolmachevo Airport at 5:15 a.m. on Thursdays and 5:00 a.m. on Sundays, arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport at 1:40 p.m. Return flights from Colombo will depart at 2:50 p.m. on the same days, reaching Novosibirsk at approximately 2:15 a.m. the following day.
The total journey time is expected to be around 10 hours.
Tickets for the new route are already on sale, according to S7 Airlines.
