Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, Riyadh Air, is moving closer to the launch of commercial operations, with its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners expected to be delivered within the coming days.
The airline currently has four Boeing 787-9 aircraft ready for delivery, registered HZ-RXAA, HZ-RXAB, HZ-RXAC and HZ-RXAD. Three additional Dreamliners are also undergoing flight and ground testing, including HZ-RXAE, which completed its maiden flight on 21 May.
An eighth Boeing 787-9 is also expected to enter production soon as the carrier steadily expands its future fleet ahead of operations.
