Jaffna International Airport (JIA) is celebrating its seventh anniversary, marking seven years of operations and progress in strengthening regional air connectivity in northern Sri Lanka.
Since commencing operations, the airport has recorded 167,237 passenger movements and 5,109 aircraft movements, highlighting its role in supporting regional air travel and improving connectivity to the Jaffna Peninsula.
Over the past seven years, Jaffna International Airport has remained an important part of Sri Lanka’s regional aviation infrastructure, contributing to accessibility and the development of air connectivity in the Northern Province.
