The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the awarding of a new ground handling contract for SriLankan Airlines operations at Sydney Airport, Australia.
The previous contract expired on 30 April 2026. Following a limited international competitive procurement process, three bids were received.
After evaluation, the High‑Level Standing Procurement Committee recommended Menzies Aviation Australia Pty Ltd as the substantially responsive lowest bidder.
The company has been awarded the contract at a value of AUD 8.32 million for a period of three years, commencing 1 May 2026.
The proposal was presented by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Civil Aviation and received Cabinet approval. (Newswire)
