10 AASL Airport Managers to Participate in Specialised Aviation Training Programme in India

A group of 10 airport managers from Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (AASL) will travel to New Delhi, India, to participate in a specialised capacity-building programme at the Indian Aviation Academy from 16 to 27 November 2026.

According to the High Commission of India in Colombo, the programme will provide participants with an opportunity to gain insights into international best practices in airport management, enhance their professional knowledge and exchange expertise with Indian aviation industry professionals.

Ahead of the programme, the Indian High Commission hosted an interactive session with the participating airport managers.

The initiative is part of India’s expanded capacity-building framework for Sri Lanka, which provides training opportunities to more than 1,000 Sri Lankan citizens annually.

The programme further strengthens India–Sri Lanka cooperation in aviation while supporting the development of professional expertise within Sri Lanka’s airport management sector.
