Turkish Airlines adds 500th aircraft to its fleet, push for 1,000th by 2036

Turkish Airlines has reached a major milestone with the addition of its 500th aircraft, reaffirming its long-term ambition to grow its fleet to 1,000 aircraft by 2036.
 
The milestone aircraft is an Airbus A350-900, registered TC-LHH, featuring a unique “TK Family” livery made up of individual photos of the airline’s 100,000 employees and retirees. The aircraft entered commercial service on 6th January 2026, and was officially unveiled on 13th February 2026, at Istanbul Airport.
 
Turkish Airlines highlighted its steady growth, having reached 100 aircraft in 2006, 200 in 2012, 300 in 2016, and 400 in 2023, underscoring its rapid expansion as one of the world’s leading global carriers.
