Around 15 Business jets carrying cricket fans arrived in Sri Lanka for the recently (15 February) concluded India-Pakistan T20 match, according to officials, with the majority supporting the Indian cricket team.
Following the completion of the high-profile encounter, several business jets have already departed, reflecting the short but intense surge in VIP and fan travel linked to the event. Jay Shah, Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), was also among those who arrived via Business jet.
Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) recorded a notably busy weekend, with both arrivals and departures underscoring the aviation impact of the marquee cricket fixture.
