Air Astana has commenced its winter-season operations to Sri Lanka, with the first flight from Kazakhstan arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) on 25th December 2025.
The flight, KC-167, operated from Almaty International Airport, landed at Katunayake at around 4:10 pm, carrying 182 passengers along with eight crew members.
The seasonal service will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays, connecting Almaty with Colombo until 31st March 2026, further strengthening Sri Lanka’s winter tourism arrivals from Central Asia.
