In a remarkable tribute to Women’s Day 2025, SriLankan Airlines operated its Melbourne to Colombo flight with a flight deck led by three distinguished Visakhians. Capt. Chamika Rupasinghe, FO Maneesha Nambuge, and FO Nilupuli Andrahennadi took command, marking a proud moment for Sri Lanka’s aviation industry.
The celebration extended to the cabin crew, with Senior Flight Stewardesses Charitha Paranamanne, Shakila Vindya De Silva, Dushmanthi Milanthika, and Adeesha Perera also being distinguished alumni of Visakha Vidyalaya.
