Turkish Airlines has strengthened its position as a leading global connector as several Gulf carriers face operational disruptions due to ongoing airspace challenges in the Middle East. While airlines such as Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad have experienced cancellations and schedule adjustments, Turkish Airlines has continued to maintain a stable and extensive flight network.

Turkish Airlines Expands Colombo Operations
Separately, Turkish Airlines has announced the addition of two extra weekly flights to Colombo, effective from 05 April to 21 October 2026. The increased frequency is expected to further strengthen connectivity between Sri Lanka and the airline’s global network, offering greater convenience and flexibility for travelers.
