SriLankan wet-leases two aircraft from Air Belgium

State-run SriLankan Airlines said it had leased two aircraft from Air Belgium to boost its fleet, which had been depleted by expiring leases and aircraft grounded due to a engine manufacturers defect.

SriLankan had received a wet-leased Airbus A330-200 in December with 22 business class seats.

It will be deployed on the Frankfurt, Dubai and Dhaka routes, SriLankan said.

A second aircraft from Air Belgium is to arrive in mid-January 2024.
