Officials of SriLankan Airlines met Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Fred Senevirathne, on 10 February 2026 to discuss the airline’s current operations and future growth plans in the market.
The delegation, led by Ruwan Wijekoon and Chinthaka Perera, noted that the carrier continues to maintain profitable operations in Pakistan. Discussions focused on expanding services, promoting tourism through attractive travel packages, and strengthening collaboration with travel agents and tour operators. The High Commissioner welcomed the initiatives, highlighting the role of air connectivity in boosting tourism, trade, and people-to-people ties between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
