Sri Lanka’s tourism income hits US$768 million in first two months of 2025

Sri Lanka’s tourism sector continues to thrive, generating $367.6 million in February 2025, bringing total earnings for the first two months to $768.2 million. Despite a slight dip from $400.7 million in January, earnings have increased from $345.7 million in February 2024. The industry remains the country’s third-largest foreign income source, as Sri Lanka gains global recognition as a top travel destination for 2025.
