Sri Lanka’s prominent businessman, Rathna Group Owner, Mithrapala Lankeshwara recently visited the Singapore Airshow 2026 to explore opportunities for acquiring a new helicopter to expand his aviation operations.
During the event, he and his team held detailed discussions with representatives of Bell Helicopter and inspected the Bell 505 aircraft on display. The meetings focused on evaluating technical features, performance and suitability for local commercial operations.
The discussions were facilitated by Ceylon Aeronautical Services (CAS), the independent representative for Bell Helicopter sales in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Meanwhile, Rathna Aviation, associated with the group, is currently operating a Robinson R66 Turbine helicopter for commercial services within Sri Lanka.
