Sri Lanka’s tourism sector has experienced a robust start in 2025, with international visitor arrivals consistently surpassing 200,000 each month in the first quarter. According to provisional data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), the country recorded 252,761 arrivals in January, 240,217 in February, and 229,298 in March. This culminates in a total of 722,276 arrivals for the first three months, marking a 13.6% increase compared to the 635,766 arrivals during the same period in 2024.
