Sri Lanka recorded 68,961 tourist arrivals during the first half of April 2026, reflecting steady momentum in the country’s tourism sector. India remained the top source market with 19,822 visitors, followed by the United Kingdom, Australia, China, and Russia.
With these latest figures, total tourist arrivals for 2026 have surpassed the 800,000 milestone, reaching 809,595, signaling continued recovery and growing global interest in Sri Lanka as a travel destination.
