Sri Lanka has recorded a significant milestone in its post-pandemic tourism recovery, welcoming over 900,000 tourists within the first four months of 2025. According to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), this milestone was officially reached on 1st May 2025.
April alone saw 174,608 international tourist arrivals, representing a 17.3% increase compared to the same month in 2024. This continued growth highlights the country’s increasing appeal as a top travel destination in the region.
