Sri Lanka has surpassed 1.4 million tourist arrivals in 2026, marking another milestone in the country’s tourism recovery.
The latest figures show that 65,202 tourists arrived during the first nine days of August, contributing to the country’s continued growth in international visitor numbers.
With the peak tourism months ahead, Sri Lanka is expected to maintain its positive arrival momentum and move closer to its revised 2.5 million tourist arrival target for 2026.
