Aviation Voice: In a landmark event for the nation’s aviation sector, Sri Lanka officially launched the 4th Edition of the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) and unveiled the new Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) Sri Lanka website. The ceremony took place at the R5 Gate of Bandaranaike International Airport, celebrating a major leap forward in aeronautical data management and airspace safety.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the first copy of the AIP 4th Edition by Mrs. Nishani Cooray, Chief Manager of the AIM Unit, to the Director General of Civil Aviation, Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Sagara Kotakadeniya.
These advancements are pivotal for ensuring accurate, timely, and essential aeronautical information, strengthening both the safety and operational efficiency of Sri Lanka’s air navigation services.
Congratulations to the dedicated AIM Sri Lanka team for this impressive achievement.
