Sri Lanka Crosses 1.8 million Tourist Arrivals in 2025, Strengthening Its Position as a Leading South Asian Destination

Sri Lanka has surpassed 1.8 million tourist arrivals so far this year, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s tourism recovery and growth. According to official data, the country also welcomed over 75,000 visitors in October, reflecting steady momentum as the year draws to a close.

India continues to lead as the top source market, followed by the United Kingdom, Russia, Germany and China, together accounting for a majority of the arrivals.
