Sri Lanka has made the Top 10 globally for tourism development progress, according to the World Economic Forum’s Travel & Tourism Development Index 2026.
The country recorded a 4.33% improvement in its TTDI score compared with 2024, placing 10th worldwide for the rate of improvement.
Albania led the global list with a 7% increase, followed by Vietnam at 6.3% and Laos at 6.1%.
The ranking reflects Sri Lanka’s continued progress in strengthening its travel and tourism sector.
