Sri Lanka Air Force Deploys Helicopters for Ella-Wellawaya Road Accident Response

The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) has positioned a MI-17 helicopter at SLAF CTS Diyatalawa and a Bell 412 at SLAF Station Weerawila to assist following the bus accident on the Ella–Wellawaya road last night. The aircraft are on standby to airlift patients to Colombo or support other rescue operations as required. (Source: SLAF)
