The Government of Sri Lanka has awarded a USD 4.01 million, five-year contract to SITA Switzerland SARL to provide global network infrastructure services for SriLankan Airlines.
According to Minister of Health and Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, the global network infrastructure platform will support critical airline operations, including passenger processing, departure control, ticketing and seat reservations, cargo management, and airport operations systems.
The contract follows the expiration of the airline’s previous service agreement, after which the government invited international competitive bids to select a new service provider. Only one bid was received during the procurement process.
SITA Switzerland SARL will provide the services for a five-year period from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2031.
