Singapore Airlines Launches New Daytime Flights from Colombo to Singapore

Singapore Airlines yesterday (6 January 2026) commenced operations of its newly introduced daytime flight services between Colombo and Singapore, marking a further expansion of connectivity between Sri Lanka and the airline’s global network.

The new daytime services operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, enhancing the existing schedule and providing passengers with greater flexibility and choice when travelling between the two cities. With the launch of these flights this morning, Singapore Airlines now operates a total of ten weekly services between Colombo and Singapore.

The daytime flights are operated using the airline’s modern fleet, including the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, ensuring customers continue to enjoy Singapore Airlines’ renowned onboard service, comfort, and advanced in-flight entertainment.

The newly launched services are expected to offer more seamless connections via Singapore Changi Airport to key destinations across the airline’s extensive network, particularly to major cities in Australia, China, and the United States, supporting both business and leisure travel.

Commenting on the commencement of the flights, Biren Poh, General Manager Sri Lanka, Singapore Airlines, stated that the introduction of the daytime service reflects the airline’s continued commitment to the Sri Lankan market, while enhancing connectivity and meeting the evolving travel needs of customers, as well as supporting tourism and trade between Sri Lanka and the rest of the world.
