Qatar Airways signs codeshare with Kenya Airways to connect 19 destinations, including Colombo

Qatar Airways and Kenya Airways will launch codeshare flights covering 19 destinations from October 26, enhancing connectivity between Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Qatar Airways and Kenya Airways have announced the launch of codeshare flights connecting 19 destinations, with plans to add more routes soon.

In a press statement, Qatar Airways says that starting October 26, Kenya Airways passengers will be able to book codeshare flights from Nairobi to Doha, as well as onward to 10 other destinations accessible via Hamad International Airport in Doha.

Similarly, Qatar Airways customers will have access to eight destinations within Kenya Airways’ network through daily flights between Doha and Nairobi. The tickets for these flights will be available for sale starting October 21.

The statement adds that this new codeshare agreement expands connectivity between East Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Qatar Airways will codeshare on Kenya Airways routes to African cities such as Abidjan, Accra, Addis Ababa, Lilongwe, Livingstone, Juba, Nampula and Victoria Falls.

Conversely, Kenya Airways will codeshare on Qatar Airways routes to destinations including Bahrain, Colombo, Dhaka, Islamabad, Karachi, Kuala Lumpur, Malé, Muscat, Singapore and Tokyo Narita.

It adds that the partnership follows a recent memorandum of understanding signed in July and also includes Qatar Airways’ third daily flight to Nairobi.

According to the statement, the two airlines aim to enhance passenger convenience by providing seamless connectivity and access to a broader network of destinations.
