The bidding for the Privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been postponed for a month, until October 31.
Pending an official announcement from the Privatization Commission on postponing the bidding process scheduled to be held on Oct 1, Secretary Privatization Usman Akhtar Bajwa that the bidding date has now been moved to Oct 31 as the bidders wanted more time before taking part in the process.
Earlier, the Privatization Commission prequalified six bidders, Fly Jinnah, a consortium led by YB Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd, Airblue Ltd, a consortium led by Pak Ethanol (Pvt.) Ltd, Arif Habib Corporation Ltd and Blue World City.
