A backup helicopter accompanying independent candidate President Ranil Wickremesinghe made an emergency landing in Katiyawa, Eppawala this afternoon due to a technical issue.
The helicopter landed safely in the Katiyawa area and remained on the ground for about an hour before resuming its journey. No further incidents were reported, and the situation was swiftly managed.
