Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram, describing it as a landmark infrastructure project that is set to strengthen connectivity and accelerate the economic growth of Andhra Pradesh.
According to Prime Minister Modi, the newly inaugurated airport features advanced infrastructure and cutting-edge technologies designed to provide passengers with a seamless travel experience. He noted that the facility is expected to significantly boost tourism, trade, investment, and employment across the region.
The terminal building has also been designed to reflect the rich cultural identity of Andhra Pradesh, highlighting the state’s heritage while offering modern aviation facilities.
The airport is named in honor of Alluri Sitarama Raju, the revered Indian freedom fighter, with Prime Minister Modi stating that it symbolizes both pride in India’s heritage and optimism for the nation’s future.
