Philippine Airlines is set to become oneworld’s 16th member airline, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) 82nd Annual General Meeting in Rio de Janeiro.
The addition of Philippine Airlines will strengthen the alliance’s global network by introducing 31 unique destinations across the Philippines and other key markets. The carrier currently operates nonstop services from its hubs in Manila (MNL) and Cebu (CEB) to 29 domestic destinations and 40 international destinations across Asia, North America, Australia and the Middle East.
SriLankan Airlines is also a member of the oneworld alliance.
