A 65-year-old dual citizen of Sweden and Sri Lanka was arrested at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) early this morning (12) for allegedly sexually assaulting two flight attendants on SriLankan Airlines flight UL-144 from Mumbai to Katunayake.
The suspect, a Jaffna resident, was reportedly heavily intoxicated and behaved disruptively toward passengers before attempting to assault the crew. Upon landing, airport police and security officers took him into custody. He is scheduled to be produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today.
