Speaking at a public rally in Ruwanwella, NPP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake stressed the importance of rebuilding the economy, acknowledging that substantial growth will take time. However, he highlighted tourism as an immediate solution to drive economic recovery.
Dissanayake shared his plan to attract 4 million tourists, which he believes will generate an $8 billion contribution to the nation’s economy, offering a swift boost to financial stability.
