Velana International Airport (VIA), Maldives has achieved a significant milestone in its operational history by recording over 1000 air traffic movements within a 24-hour period. This remarkable feat underscores the airport’s growing importance as a major hub in the region.
On 22nd December 2024, VIA recorded a total of 1000 movements, comprising 234 runway movements and an impressive 766 seaplane movements.
