Malaysia Airlines has been named Best Airline Staff in Asia at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, climbing six places in the category. The airline also secured a place among the world’s top three for its cabin crew, rising five places from 8th in 2025.
The results highlight the airline’s signature Malaysian Hospitality and the dedication of its teams across airport, onboard and ground operations.
At the 2026 awards, Malaysia Airlines achieved the following global and regional rankings:

🥈 #2 World’s Best Airport Services – up 4 places
🥉 #3 World’s Best Cabin Crew – up 5 places
#10 Best Airline in Asia
#11 World’s Cleanest Airline – up 1 place
#12 World’s Best Economy Class Airlines – up 4 places
#18 World’s Best Business Class Airlines – new entry
#21 World’s Best Airline – up 6 places
Malaysia Aviation Group CEO Captain Nasaruddin A Bakar said the recognition reflects the collective dedication of the airline’s employees across all areas of its operations.
Malaysia Airlines is targeting a place among the world’s top 10 airlines by 2030. The carrier has so far received 29 new aircraft, with 117 modern aircraft planned by 2035, while recording a 91.38% year-to-date on-time performance.
